Volunteer

We are always in need of volunteers at the shelter!

​Even if you are only able to commit to a few hours a week, there is plenty of work to be done:​

• Cleaning cages
• Changing food and water
• Shelter deep clean days
• Helping us with fundraising efforts
• Washing floors
• Carpentry projects occasionally

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old to volunteer. 
• Teens can volunteer with an adult at the discretion of the volunteer coordinator.
• Younger children may be allowed to volunteer, with a parent, at the discretion of the volunteer coordinator.
• Volunteers are required to schedule a time to come in weekly with a 2 hour minimum, unless agreed upon with the volunteer coordinator.
• Court ordered community service hours are accepted on a case by case basis. People with court ordered hours are required to do the hours required by the court and then the same amount for us (i.e. 20 hours required by the court plus 20 hours required by us, equals 40 hours total to have your paperwork signed showing completed). Paperwork will not be signed, or letter given, until total hours are complete.
